eBay authentication is NOT free shipping

So it's been at least 10 years since I sold jewelry on eBay. A lot has changed & I can't say I'm happy. I don't have a problem with the whole authentication thing except I sold a couple of pieces that went to an authenticator.I do not sell internationally so I was surprised when I Finally received authentication & looked at the breakdown. I was charged international shipping because this guy's registered address is in Vietnam! I called and the eBay rep said there was no way to prevent this. REALLY? No wonder we have to wait for sooo long to get paid. And there's no method for choosing an authenticator that is based in the USA. Seriously considering closing out my account. I don't tolerate the nitpicking money grab very well.

Your post doesn't make sense. eBay covers shipping from the authenticator to the buyer.

Your responsibility is to pay shipping to the domestic authentication hub.

Did you mean to say you were charged an international fee because the buyer is registered overseas? If that's the case, the same exact thing would have happened if the item did not go through the authenticator @palau-dream . That is a transaction fee that has nothing to do with shipping.

That doesnt sound right, are you sure your buyer was not in Vietnam and used a freight forwarder? You would pay a fee when the buyer is registered and pays from a foreign country.
