Ebay 1 Day Handling time for sellers?
If I set my handling time to 1 day and I sell on item on Tuesday. Am I shipping it Wednesday or Thursday?
I'm not sure if they consider Wednesday the handling day or expect it to be out 24 hours from sale.
Thanks!

·3 years agoOnce your item sells, eBay will clearly include what date your item needs to ship by down to the minute.

·3 years agoOne day handling is not one day after it is sold, it is one day AFTER it is paid for. The shipping clock starts after payment no matter what your handling time is.

·3 years agoMy bet is it depends if the sale is concluded Tuesday morning or evening. For example, the post office closes at 6pm where I live. If I am a “1-day handling-time seller “ and I get an order at ~6pm or after (on Tuesday) then my business day will be Wednesday & the item needs to be shipped by or on Thursday (aka dropped off at post office). I expect a violation of the Handling time policies to be subjective, however. Because, for example, if a purchase happens at ~5pm (on Tuesday) and the nearest post office closes at 6pm it shouldn’t be reasonable to expect Tuesday to count as a business day. So, again, Wednesday would be the 1 business day and Thursday is the due date of shipping (aka dropping off at post office).
*Expert advice*- a great way to judge when a purchase is due to be shipped (based on “choice of handling time (in days)â€) is to pretend/imagine your “handling time†is set to “same-dayâ€. You’ll have to ask yourself if it is reasonable or even possible to drop off a purchase within an hour of the local post office closing. With “same-day†expectations, you’ll always be expected to make your best effort but if “same-day purchase†occurs at the end of the business day (Tuesday) then expect (Wednesday) to be the “ship-by/handling†day.
Hopefully this is helpful to someone one day.â€! Peace ✌ï¸
