Drop in sales
In the past two weeks, I have had a drop in sales I used to get 10 a week now I am getting 2. I am listing 1-2 items per day to try to get sales back to what it was.

·2 years agoIt could be many things.....people on vacation for Spring Easter break. tax season, buyers are saving up for graduation season, a bad economy where everyone is watching their money, or a combination of things.
Enjoy the roller coaster!!

·2 years agoYou have only been selling for a couple of years you will get used to the ups and downs in sales. In the last couple of weeks we have had the NCAA basket ball tournaments, taxes are coming due, total eclipse, several major weather events, spring break...........
Lots of externalities impact sales regardless of how much you have posted.

·2 years agoHow do your sales compare with March/April 2023? 2022? 2019? (We skip the outlier years of 2020-21 when there was a pandemic based surge in online buying.)
I could close my eBay Stores in November and December because my sales here are to collectors and they turn their allowances to gift giving in those months. Then January to March are very strong for me.
This was also true when we had a B&M shop. We survived on gift certificates and did our inventory then to keep the staff busy.
Retail comes and goes in waves.
Keep monthly and annual records and you will see them appear as the years wear on.
Daily listing does help.
So does using Promoted Listing--carefully. My suggestion is using PL at the lowest available fee (2%) and on the oldest stock. It may not lead to sales, but it will increase Views which does lead to sales.
And do a few Best Offer promotions on listings that have Views. Views are fresh, in the past month. Watchers are stale, they never drop off no matter how old they are.
And review your existing listings to see if they could be better- pictures, titles, maybe Free Shipping or accepting Returns.

·2 years agoYou get more free time to yourself and free time to list items.
Tax time is a bummer for sales unless you have International repeat buyers.
Total eclipse total didn't help as well...everyone looking at the sky...with those silly glasses today...and I don't even live near the eclipse. LOL

·2 years agoIt's tax time.
It's like this just about every year.
Online sales are like that, one month you sell like your stuff is the hottest things out there. Then crickets. There are no guarantees that you will always sell 10 items a week.
