Dollars instead of pounds for UK private sellers - why?
Just drafting a couple of items to auction this evening and am taken aback to find prices can only be listed in dollars. Only US postage details are available to choose from and not UK postage costs. Impossible to change. I then noticed that the items I already have listed also show prices in dollars with a UK currency listed underneath. Has anyone else experienced this - is it one of Ebay's "improvements" or is it a glitch?

OP1 year agoThanks kind ebayers! Don't know how I was using US ebay - just assumed I was on the usual site (UK). Will try your suggestions and get back to drafting.

OP1 year agoDrafts still showing US doollars. Does this mean I have got to delete them all and start again?

·1 year agoYes you will have to copy/paste the listing info from those US drafts and create new ones on .uk. This will only work for the Title and Description, all the rest you will need to redo.

·1 year agoYour listings look perfectly fine and in £'s as they should be when viewed on the .uk site.
The reason you are seeing listings in dollars instead of British currency is because you seem to have found your way across the big pond to eBay USA.
So log out of eBay.com and log into eBay.co.uk (UK) and all will look as it should for you.
