Does putting listing on discount sale make it more visible?
I want to drum up sales on my new store by deeply discounting an item I can move fast. I have 2% promotion turned on already.
When I offer a discount does eBay make my listing more visible? Do I rise higher in the search rank? And if so, does the amount of the discount matter? (i.e. is a 30% discount going to move higher than a 10% discount).

·1 year agoNo one knows for sure, but it has been said that making changes (cancel and sell similar) to older listings (price, pictures, description) can help. It will help if you discount your item offered to be the least expensive on eBay but that does not guarantee sales. You should be competitive in price regardless of how you approach making changes. IMHO
Having a sale or discount doesn't make your listings more visible.

·1 year agoit lowers the price and that's one of the main ways people search. it 100% will increase the items ranking and visibility. doesn't mean there is a buyer for the item but if someone is searching for the item and they sort from lowest price to highest and you're is now not in the middle you have an increased chance. lowering prices will definitely make items more visible.
