Does people buy jackets with the former owners' name embroidered inside on it?
I have a custom jacket that has a name embroidered inside the pockets and on the collars' inside fold.

·2 years agoI would say that most people who would be bothered by something like that might be adverse to buying a used jacket in the first place.

·2 years agoLots of items have names on them, like watches engraved on the back.
I see it as just a bit of history, maybe interesting history.
After all it's seen as a plus on footy shirts😀.

If you're going to list it I would definitely add that to the listing description and show pictures of it as well.

Some tailors and homeseamsters also had labels made up with their names to put in their customers garments.

·2 years agoI used to have a nice collection of vintage bowling shirts, shop coveralls, and crew jackets with the names embroidered on them. I purposely looked for ones with names on them, as that was part of their charm.
Didn't have to be my name either. 🙂
