Does auctions work for Black Friday?
Hello everyone , i am planning my Black Friday strategies . I will have a 30% mardown in most of my items and i was thinking about a 7 day auction starting next friday. Do you think an auction is a good strategy for Black Friday? or buyers are most looking for discounted BIN´s ?

·2 years agoAuctions ending throughout the day on Black Friday - Cyber Monday could be a good strategy if they are items that typically draw interested shoppers through auction format. If auction format is a dud for the types of items & the price points then I'd say other promos on fixed price listings will be more effective.
Do you have a lot of repeat buyers? Do you have a social media following? You could promote the heck out of the auctions and sales on social to bring in the buyers and the more positive engagement the listings get, the higher they'll jump in eBay search ranking.
Lots of factors to consider. Not as simple as good idea or bad idea. 🙂
