Does anyone use the % off carrier shipping option in Seller preferences?
I think there is a problem but need to check another seller's listing to be sure......if you use" Custom discounted rates" could you post? If you want you can PM me, rather than post. Option is here:
https://www.ebay.com/ship/prf/carrier
Thanks

·1 week agoI use Retail w/15% discount on everything except ESE. Haven't noticed any discrepancies. Most stuff I send GA is under 1lb. Ignore all the singles, they're mostly free shipping.

·1 week ago · EditedAre you saying the discount is not being applied for the buyer to see?
Are you using calculated or flat rate shipping?
How are you applying the discount to the listing?
Are you setting the discount on the listing, in your Shipping Preferences, or do you have Business Policies set up or using a custom Rate table?
Is the discount for additional items from the same or different listings?
If the item is still listed, what is the Item Number?

OP1 week ago · EditedI'm saying there is a screwup that "seems" to involve the discount......that's what I'm trying to figure out........ Happened on all listings which were all calculated..... The discount was applied to all listings via the site preferences......"carrier discount".....at the URL shown in the first message. Don't use business policies, no rate table, same discount for all. Very few listings (probably 10 or less) have the "additional shipping" for more than one item, applied on a listing. I did not check those for discrepancies. Since I have canceled the discount, can't give you an item #.......won't show up now......

·1 week agoOk, now I understand. You are talking about the pass through carrier discount and assuming you mean for USPS. This discount is no longer universally available from USPS for all Zip Codes. Calculated shipping will still apply the correct postage cost regardless whether a discount is available or not.

·1 week agoSign out of your account and look at the listing as if you were a buyer. While signed out you can even change the ship to Zip Code to see that calculation is working as well.

OP1 week agoThanks for the effort, but been there, done that, prices still differ. Had someone else look at the listings.....who confirmed the difference in prices (before I canceled the option).......

·1 week agoMost allow the pass through ebay discounts as well as setting discounts for additional items which has various options.
What or how do you want discounts to be applied that you are having problems with?

OP1 week ago@rfmtm I want to see the display of shipping cost on the view listing page and check that the same amount is showing on the listing page.......On mine, I was seeing a larger amount on the View listing page than on Product page until I canceled the discount.

OP1 week agooops, I misspoke.....larger amount in the listing than on the View Listing page....
