A couple of weeks ago "Lady A" posted a thread about a problem she was having and people responded. Then I was reading another thread from "Lady B" and "Lady A" posted a post in it repeating her own problem. I reminded her about the replies in her own thread and she said she didn't know where to look for her thread to see what replies she had received.
I sometimes wonder why people don't come back to these threads. Are they like this lady and don't know where to look? Are they embarrassed? Do they not like what they are being told? Do they get an answer they like so need to come back to see what anyone else says, or even to say thank you?

·1 week agoGreat points. It is why I often Tag the OP, just in case they are unsure as to how to get back to the thread.
We are always getting new members to the Community. It is nice to reach out and try to help when we can.

·1 week ago · EditedTwo thoughts come to mind from my own personal experience ...
First I used to never get email notifications when someone replied to my threads ... only when they tagged me. So sometimes I forgot about a thread I started or didn't know to look for answers.
Second ... I absolutely despise the new Community Forum. I haven't spent tons of time on it but I find it borderline unusable when I want to post something ... I feel like I need a PhD in how to use this form just to start a thread ... and then the way comments are made and replies to comments is difficult as it's no longer chronological because replies to old comments stick with the comment and aren't at the top of the list anymore ... and the way to find your own posts/discussions through your profile is tough when I want to find my own post ... and if I try to click on a notification it takes me to that exact comment/reply instead of just taking me to the thread as a whole ... maybe I'm just lost ... and if it helps I'm 30 years old and computers are NOT my kryptonite, I don't have trouble navigating things online, except when sites make them overly difficult and bad UX IMO ... honestly I find the new forum cumbersome and difficult to navigate unless I'm just looking at recent threads on the home page. .... OH and I remember getting an email saying someone Dm'ed me ... it took me literally like 15 minutes on this forum to find where Direct Messages show up ..... literally couldn't find it.
I think the old version was perfectly fine ... I don't exactly know what they improved with the new forum ... I'm yet to find improvements, I'm too busy trying to find the basic things I want/need.

OP1 week ago@ajs_coins_and_alchemy I agree with you 100%. I hate the format of this new forum. Everything you have said is true. And you are right, if a person is not tagged, they aren't going to know if there are any replies or not if they can't find their thread.
