do sales work for you?
I haven't run sales in years. I don't remember thinking it was very successful. If they work for you do you have tips? I know I need to work on my prices of single books but I don't see going through them one by one. I generally hope that they will either sell or get good offers but they don't sell very much or fast, so...

·3 years agoThere have been times went I felt like having markdown, promoted listing sale with best offers and free shipping.
Iffin your stuff doesn't sell at that point, its time to bounce, lol.

·3 years agoI remember several sellers posting on these forums after performing comparative studies of sales of markdowns versus promoted listings. As an example, the seller would take 1000 items and run a markdown sale for x amount of days versus a promoted listings group of 1000 for x amount of days.
But performing controlled studies on the platform without identical items in each group will definitely skew the data.
My recollection was using promoted listings was far more beneficial than using markdown sales.
FYI: Your margins have to be really healthy to think of running a markdown + promoted listings.
