Did You Just Type That? Wild Listing Statements
When doing research, I come across some crazy and often untrue stuff sellers put in their description. Here is one I saw this evening:
Please do not buy everything separately and expect me to refund excess shipping. I'll do it, but I don't like it. I wind-up paying extra fees.
Feel free to post some crazy stuff you've seen sellers write in their listings. It should go without saying, but do not post the seller's ID or other personal information.

·6 months agoI don't know how wild or crazy it is, but one I encounter often is a seller saying something like
"As-Is, All Sales Final, No Refunds".
You and I obviously know better, but we know there are a lot of buyers who don't know how the money-back guarantee works, so this one bothers me.
I also doubt it helps their items sell.

·6 months agoBecause I have 'repeat buyers' I say nothing about buying items separately.
I can't afford to lose these buyers.
Yes, this happens quite a bit...sometimes with the same buyers every week.
But, repeat buyers who buy something every week are my bread and butter.
Sometimes, I will have envelopes with postage on them and buyer makes another purchase.
The only thing I added in some descriptions are large sheets I sell that are pricey with 'no International Shipping or Freight Forward please'...I have free International shipping on all new items now.

·6 months agoThis is actually one of my biggest peeves as a seller. Buyers that don't know how to use the cart do add an extra .30 or .40 per item in FVF. Most of my stuff is free shipping so I just get screwed, but I certainly wouldn't refund shipping if it was done on items I charge for.

·6 months agoI had a buyer buy 40 separate BIN listings, 1 listing at a time.
I never did come up with a good way to explain to him
that the shopping cart is right there. I'm told people
using their smart phone don't have the cart option.
