Detailed Seller Rating
Why is it that EVERY one of my listings shows blank at "Accurate Description"? All other factors have 5 stars. I have 100% positive feedback and am at "Top Seller". Accurate description with zero stars leaves buyer assuming that my description cannot be trusted. I have had this situation before, a couple of months ago and long, long chat with CS rep resolved it; ie: 5 stars appeared at description. Now they are gone again and "online customer service" is not available. Please comment if you have this same experience. It serves no purpose to opine the value of rating or the fact that ONLY the buyer can leave it. If "Rating" system and "Feedback" are of no value, why do they exist?

·4 months ago@pjx2-2 : Okay, what's happening here is that, as already mentioned, you need a minimum of 10 buyer ratings in each category before you will see a star rating for that category. Once the tenth buyer leaves a rating for Accurate Description, you will see the stars shown.
However, those star ratings are based on a sliding window of sales over the last 12 months. If you've only got 10 ratings in the category and the oldest one rolls off the back end when it's 13 months old, you will need a new buyer rating to replace it, or else you'll be down to 9 ratings and the stars will be removed. That's what happened when you noticed that the stars for that category were gone again. Once you get a few more recent sales under your belt you should be getting star ratings across all categories.

The majority of your feedback from selling (in the past 12 months) has ben Auto-Feedback, you do not get a DSR rating for these.
You can get an Auto-DSR's for Communication (but hasn't been any), shipping cost (if it's free) but you only get that when a buyer actually leaves feedback as opposed to an eBay Auto-Feedback.
As mentioned elsewhere you have to have at least 10 DSR ratings for it to show up on your feedback page. If you sell just a few more items AND feedback is actually left by the buyer AND they actually rate the DSR's then the Condition DSR will start to show.
The DSR's are a vestige from the past (about 15 years ago) when DSR's were used to qualify for fee discounts (replaced years ago with TRS+).

·4 months agoAs mentioned, many buyers don't bother leaving feedback and even fewer bother with the detailed seller ratings. They won't show anything until you have 10 ratings. Some stars like communication are given automatically if you qualified.

Probably NOT 1 of your buyers even left ANY stars for Anything.
Many of those 'ratings' are 'automated' to give 5 stars and buyers are not able to even rate it.
You do 'free shipping'; then it's automated.
If arrived before last estimated delivery date, then it's automated
You either had no communications from buyers or you answered when you did- so it's automated.
The only one that is NOT automated is that 'accurate description' where a buyer would have to leave stars for it to show.
Appears nobody has.

·4 months agoYou have not yet had 10 ratings for Accurate Description. Once you get that 10th rating from a buyer, eBay will show the average for that category from that point on.
Feedback ratings have morphed a lot over the years, but date back to the origins of eBay. If they hadn't originated back then, I doubt eBay would have implemented them any more recently.

·4 months ago@krazzykats that's not why, as I've ONLY sold 'new' items for 15+ years and my 'accurate description' shows 4.8 (probably for the tiny handful that left a neg gave a 0 because they wanted free return shipping (by opening NAD).

·4 months agoHmmm...okay. But I've noticed in the past when I purchase items some ratings are not applicable ---- (dashes) so I can't rate them.
Thought that might be a "possible" reason...😁

·4 months agoBuyers can't enter a rating for communication if there hasn't been any.
Buyers can't enter a rating for shipping if the shipping was free.
Buyers can't leave feedback but not DSR's
Buyers don't have to leave feedback at all, eBay will usually give an auto-feedback (as of last September) but there are no DSR's at all in that case.

·4 months agoYou may not have had enough detailed ratings on description for it to show up. You are only at 10 sales for the past 90 days. Not everyone detail ranks every category.
Also, no one looks at that. Never once looked at that as a buyer. Never had a potential customer ask about it. Never had any of my youtube followers ask me about detailed seller ratings.
