Descriptions offer to sell outside eBay
I'm noting with some regularity that certain sellers have an offer to sell outside eBay in every item description that goes something like: "I have this item locally listed at a much lower price". It's usually Facebook Marketplace. All the items are grossly overpriced so these sellers hardly sell anything. I've complained through the report listing but eBay never removes the listing or seller. What gives?

·5 months agoUnfortunately, no one at eBay cares. It has become completely unproductive to report anything. "Futile" comes to mind. Even though we, as sellers, pay for a platform and agree to all of the fine print, eBay isn't holding up its end of the bargain by not policing its own site. Their day will come for not doing so. It's just a matter of time. So many counterfeit items today, it is disgusting. Just my professional opinion, so please don't waste your time attacking me. I really get so sick and tired of it and will not bother even reading them.

·5 months agoeBay doesn't pull listings on the report of one or two people, even for violations, but it might get caught at some point.
With the Artificial Stoopid being shoved into every aspect of this site (and not very well engineered), I suspect this kind of thing will just increase.
Agree with above that after reporting a couple of times, it's a waste of time.

·5 months agoReports of listings are only monitored by Bots and they ONLY look at the Title (if at all).
Bots do NOT read 'descriptions'.
You are better off spending your 'extra' time helping to feed the hungry or cloth the needy in your neighborhood instead of worrying about ebays 2,000,000,000 listings.
