Delivery Instructions
Just had a buyer ask me this: "Note from buyer: Please when you ship out , please add note to shipment delivery to register package to a locker, when the package is being delivered . Thank you ."
How is this done? First time in 27 years I've been asked to do this.

·2 weeks agoSome large apartment complexes have some specific requirements, especially on packages. I would simply notify the buyer that you have no way to accommodate their request and see if they want to cancel the order.

·2 weeks agoIf this customer is using a freight forwarder? If yes, there should be a special "number or letters" shown on the EBAY label that you print (this directs package to be delivered to that customer).
If your customer is located in the USA perhaps they are referring to USPS Smart Locker delivery. USPS Smart Lockers are electronic, keyless lockers that provide a free, secure, and convenient package delivery and returns alternative.
How do I ship my package to a Smart Locker?
To ship your package to a USPS Smart Locker location, the ****merchant must offer Smart Locker as an alternate delivery option at checkout. If available:
Choose “USPS Smart Locker” when selecting a shipping address during checkout.
Select which Post Office Smart Locker location you wish to ship your package to.
Once you have selected the Post Office Smart Locker location, complete and place your order.

·2 weeks agoWhen a locker type mail system is in place, the 'carrier' simply puts 'packages' in one of the larger 'lockers' and then puts the keys to that locker in their regular mailbox. Usually all in the same locker cabinets.
But..the buyer is a nimrod as there is NO note that the carrier will even bother looking at.
So I would do 2 things
1.) tell buyer there isn't a way to do that and they need to talk to their carrier about the 'system' in place and that you will NOT be doing that.
2.) then-ignore ANY directives

·2 weeks agoYou don't have to do this and there is no way to add a note to the shipper when buying the label. Just ship to the address provided, it will arrive at it's locker. Some buyers may make demands after the fact but that's usually moot.
