I like your post but I thought it was common knowledge not to trust anything made in China as being safe when it comes to contact with children or pets. There is such a huge volume of goods coming from China that end up being dangerous (lead paint on kids toys etc. etc. etc.) that it seems the FDA and Customs has just given up trying to stop the flow. Either that or they are so overwhelmed they can't.
I guess common knowledge has gone the way of common sense and common courtesy, all unfortunately uncommon it seems anymore.
