Dear Ebay Customer Support - [Removed by Moderator]
I'm trying to contact ebay about some issues I'm having on my account. After navigating through all the unhelpful AI agents that waste my time, I finally found a page that said request a call back.
I requested the call back. No one called for an hour.
I had to navigate through the terrible helpdesk again to request a call back, and finally got a call back ten minutes late.
This call however got me now where. Just a support rep apologizing for the problems ebay is causing me then he said he would transfer me and after being on hold for 5 seconds the call was ended.
You guys have no real way of getting support, then when I do get on the phone you just hang up on me. I cannot believe the level of support you guys are providing.
Absolutely terrible!

·8 months agoFeels like AI has claimed another site. Ebay used to have some really good customer service and an easy workflow of resolving problems.

·8 months agoBelieve it or not, most issues on eBay can be resolved without any actual contact with CS.
First off, you don't mention whether your problems are as a buyer or as a seller. But, regardless, have you read eBay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers? There is lots of good information there for sellers too.
Second, your use of "you guys" when addressing us here is a minor error. We're not eBay employees.
Finally, if you will tell us about your problem, we might be able to direct you to a place where you can get help.

OP8 months agoI was supposedly being transferred to a manager, then I got hung up on. I'm thinking the manager just hung up on me not wanting to deal with my questions

You'd probably get better help asking questions here.

Have you thought about asking your questions here? There plenty of very experienced sellers on this board that can probably answer your questions or give you advice. Nothing to be afraid of? We don’t bite.

·8 months agoUnfortunately you could possibly have had an even more dismal eBay customer support experience
Does management really care about the level of support that is being provided ?

You are posting on a board of fellow eBay sellers and not to any Ebay employees.
I'd be willing to bet that f you posted details of your problem someone on here will be able to offer you some advice. There are many sellers on here that have a lot of experience and nothing they have not seen. There is absolutely nothing to lose by posting your issues here. The worst it can happen is no one can help you which seems to be where you are at with eBay.

If you'd like to address your issue here, you'll probably get the help you need (from us) to work through it. Good luck.

I send a direct message to the AskeBay account on X.
Just say "I have an issue with my account."
They will reply back with a link for you to verify your account, and once you do that, will help you.

When a seller comes here with frustration about support, I find they fall into one of two categories.
Without knowing the nature of your issue, I have no idea which camp you fall into so I generally reserve judgement.

·8 months agoYou can try having us help answer questions you have about your account, or you can try to contact human employees on social media (not 3rd party contractors).
I copied this from someone else's reply elsewhere BUT NOTE: I recently read about a horrible experience with a new customer service rep on Facebook and that's my preferred platform for contacting them, so just FYI.
Here's what I copied/pasted:
Please be aware that for social media CS, you send them a Private Message and briefly explain what your problem or issue is. Feel free to leave your Name, address, phone number and/or your email address in this message. It is private and secure and it may help to speed up the response for you.

·8 months agoNot sure who you think is reading this message, but we are buyers and sellers from the community - not ebay employees, and most certainly not ebay management.
You are effectively shouting into a wall. Hopefully you feel a bit better now 🙂

·8 months agoI agree there is some great knowledge in these halls, But also some that is not so great, You can have some major differences here as well.
soh.maryl
·8 months agoRegardless of that, it's still not a bad idea for the OP to ask his questions here, especially given the bad experience he had when he tried asking CS.
luckythewinner
·8 months agoIf the OP was asking about selling strategy, or pricing, or whether to promote listings, or how to handle an offer, or how to deal with a problem customer, I could see your point.
But the OP says he has a question about "issues with my account", and I find that sort of question is generally answered pretty quickly and accurately here.

Apparently the OP Acidgas is convinced only ebay can help them. We can't help the OP if we don't what their problem is. Whatever the OP's issue is I'm sure someone else on this board has had it too.
