Daily doesn't mean the same thing to me as it does to Ebay
Summary: mw8nwv is a first-time eBay seller who is concerned about the exact time and timezone of eBay's "daily payouts." mvznhk explains that new sellers might not see payments for a few weeks despite selecting daily payouts. mgphfv emphasizes that daily payouts happen once a day without specifying a time or timezone, while mm3tm2 notes that due to the volume of payments, eBay processes them in a queue, making it hard to pinpoint a specific payout time. mjcb23 shares their experience, stating that payouts usually occur between 7-8am EST, but clarifies that as a new seller, funds may be held for verification purposes before they are processed for payout.
I am a first time Ebay seller and I did not watch the how to sell video before ya'll come at me about that. I selected the daily payout option. My exact question regardless if I am going to get paid today or not is: when Ebay states "daily payouts" and that option is selected, what time EXACTLY IN THE 24 HOURS OF EACH SINGLE INDIVIDUAL DAY is that going to occur at? and part 2, is that Japan time, Canada time, NY time, like at what measurement of time of the "daily" does Ebay release funds to the seller?

·2 months agoIt probably doesn't (mean same to you).
Daily is in regards to 'Days that banks are open' 'days that we process money'.
Daily payout also means 'AFTER we actually RECEIVE the money from the buyers Credit Card holding Bank.
Daily also means 'When we send it" but YOUR bank could take 2 days to RECOGNIZE the payment and give you actual credit.
But the biggest difference is Daily vs Weekly vs Bi Monthly vs Monthly.

·2 months agoMy daily payouts always happen between 7-8am est. The money is in my bank the next day.
Understand payouts are NOT the same as processed funds. As a new seller your funds will likely be held anywhere from 3 days after confirmed delivery to 30 days from sale. Once you are a fully established seller, processing takes a day. Only after the funds are processed will the payout be initiated for the next day.

·2 months agoI don't understand your confusion.
Once a day means once a day. There is no time of day involved. There is no time zone involved.
Once a day would mean...
Monday between 12:01 AM and 11:59 PM.
Tuesday between 12:01 AM and 11:59 PM.
Wednesday between 12:01 AM and 11:59 PM.
Thursday between 12:01 AM and 11:59 PM.

·2 months agoIt may not be a consistent time, as eBay is processing payouts for millions of sellers, and there's not going to be a way that allows them to send those at the same time for all of them, so you'll be in a queue or list waiting for any eligible payouts to be sent. I can't imagine any reason it would matter exactly what time of day the payout is sent, either.

·2 months agoAs a new seller you may not see your payments for a few weeks or more, regardless of selecting daily payouts at sign up. Not sure of the actual time eBay pays, in my 25 years I have never paid attention to when I've been paid during the day or week, just as long as I get paid
