Customers, gotta love em...
Customer buys a part for a FSA56.
Several hours later messages me "Will this fit a FS410C?"
I reply "No, it will fit a FSA56".
He replies "Don't ship it."
Order cancelled.

·2 years agoAs frustrating as this might feel, this might be a justified blame Ebay issue.
The Ebay search has a significant problem with non-alphabetic content.
A search for the proper model number might yield multiple results for other incorrect items.
The buyer when confronted what he thinks are choices for the number he searched for, picked your listing.
Only later when he received the confirmation email he might have realized the problem, and he contacted you.
I do not know how anyone safely sells anything for a particular model or a part number.
I see this problem for items which have a date. The Ebay search appears to ignore dates much of the time.

·2 years agoRecently had a buyer buy a map and then ask what the measurements are (which is in description) he then asks to cancel because it's not big enough.

Yes! If you hammer it in place you can make it fit. It won't work but you didn't ask that question!
Sounds like a perfect forehead smacking moment 🤦â€â™€ï¸

·2 years agoI got one who cancelled an auction they won because they "found it at a better price". That should not be a reason for cancelling orders. I just cancelled it and relisted it. Now this coin is ending 20 minutes past the rest of the auctions so I will have to wait to send invoices next Sunday. (I send them when auctions are done, because people combine).

·2 years agoIt is frustrating to get messages (confirming fit) after they purchase it but i would rather they contact me to cancel to avoid the return song and dance. Does not make it right and still is frustrating.
However when they purchase it (auctions they decide on price) and want to cancel because they find a better price does not seem fair, especially when you they are auctions with other bidders.
Maybe there should be a part of feedback that shows how many times a buyer has cancelled purchases and for what reasons. Of course that will not happen. Or maybe if they abuse cancellations they must wear an Ebay shock collar (probation period after they abuse) when using the site. Every time they make a mistake, they are reminded quickly with a little jolt of reality. (one could dream) 😀

·2 years agoYou know what's not fair... this buyer was able to leave me feedback to say they cancelled the order...

·2 years agoI think auctions should basically be a final sale, only allowing returns for INAD returns that are truly INAD. All other auctions work like this. You bid it, you bought it.

·2 years agoI think everyone has always shared that sediment.
Regardless of any solution, i think the shock collar probation period for these types of abusers would be the most entertaining and somewhat rewarding for those who's listings were cancelled. ðŸ˜
