Customer won the bid and hasn't paid
Someone tell me how to end this auction gracefully. Two days no payment. I want to send her an invoice with a message that if she hasn't paid in 24 hours I will cancel the bid and move on.

·3 years agoYou can cancel order after 4 calendar days. You can set your preferences in eBay that way or allow buyer more time etc. Type your questions into Goggle search. Many pre-covered issues and you get faster more directed anwers quickly.

·3 years agoIf you cancel the winning bid for nonpayment, can you repost the auction and start again?

·3 years agoYes, although you cannot cancel for nonpayment before four full days (96 hours) have elapsed since the auction ended. The only reasons you can select earlier than that are generally Buyer Requested or the item is no longer available for some reason (which is not a cancellation you want to do if you can avoid it).
So after 96 hours from end of auction, you will find a new reason for cancellation of Buyer Did Not Pay. Select that, and you will be free to either relist the auction or (if desired) send a Second Chance Offer to one of the other bidders (if they have set their accounts to accept SCOs). Keep in mind that your second-place bidder is only one bid increment or less below your deadbeat winner, so you might still get a good price from that guy and not have to mess around with another auction.
Another option for you would be to list it as Fixed Price instead, with the Immediate Payment Required option set, and then no one can snatch your item off the market without actually paying you for it first.

·4 years agoAgree with the others, just wait & cancel on the 5th day.

But, where are you guys getting the info that sending an invoice resets the clock? I've never heard that, nor have I ever experienced it. I just had one the other day & it did no such thing. I sent an invoice on day 3 & on day 4 + an hour or so, right on schedule, it was canceled automatically, just like like any other UPI.

·4 years agoIf someone wins an auction one day and hasn't paid and wins another auction 3 days later. Sending an invoice after the second win auction unpaid will have all auctions with the early one together with a new date reset if one sends an invoice. I let buyers pay between 1-7 days and have to make sure I don't put an early unpaid auction with new ones.
