I have never heard of Ebay using their funds to refund someone on a sellers behalf.

Is not clear to some sellers? I think this is the 3rd post in the last few days saying that ebay took the payment to refund.

In particular, it doesn't say where the buyer's refund is coming from: eBay, or the seller's held funds from the buyer's original payment. If the former, it might help to say that the held funds will be released to the seller soon.

That phrase "we’re not holding you responsible for this case and eBay will refund the buyer in full" suggests that eBay is giving the buyer a courtesy refund themselves, and the buyer's funds will eventually be released to you.

They closed the case and refunded the buyer in full and i got no money and he kept my parts i got he trumpet back but he kept the insides

I saw one of mine last week where I got basically the same message.
And eBay still used my funds to refund.
