Customer Service Has Gone Down the Toilet - thanks AI!
eBay removed one of my listings as counterfeit - I own the rights to the movie, it is legit licensed.
I sent links to a dozen articles that reported the licensing. I provided screen shots from the agreement. Their AI scanned it and denied appeal.
I called customer service, woman put me on hold, got disconnected. No call back.
Called again, much longer hold as they checked what I could possibly provide outside this mountain of proof. Caller admitted the AI scanned appeal and doesn't always work well. While waiting on hold while he talked to another department about what they might need, got disconnected. No call back.
Oh, did I mention they thanked me for being on ebay for 25 years?
The movie: Reigo: King of the Sea Monsters. It is still for on ebay from other sellers. Second time recently I had a listing wrongly flagged. I didn't appeal other, just sold it on Facebook.

Try contacting them on their Facebook page, there are good reps there. Use messages not a post
Also have you considered filing for a VERO? I think you can obtain one as the license holder but I don't know the details.

·1 year agoWell, they only flag or remove listings with reasons based upon the content of your title & description information contained in your listing. I would suggest evaluating that first before throwing comments at ebay. They are a company charged with enforcing all IP laws inside the incorporation of the website. They use AI to determine those cases requiring further investigation.

Sorry you're going through this. Set the item aside, create a brand new listing for it using the "sell similar" option from another one of the 66 listings currently available, and tweak what you need to to get it back up.
Alternately you can use another platform to sell it if you wan't to save yourself the headache.
