Customer bought something, picked it up, deleted the pickup confirmation number. Now what?
I only do "pickup only" in special cases, in this case the buyer was a local guy. He came by to pick it up. I gave it to him. He left positive feedback. He deleted eBay's pickup confirmation, so now I can't get the thing off my "To-Do" list. Will it ever go away on its own?
Just another completely idiotic situation on this platform. My backup account got a negative feedback I can't get rid of where the buyer actually said the shipping delay wasn't my fault but the post office's, but was "disappointed" that we "couldn't find it."
Will sellers ever get any customer service in this place? Unbelievable.

OP4 months agoThanks. Actually it turns out that the pickup code is also permanently in the customer's order details, so they don't simply lose it if they delete the email notice. He sent it to me, the code worked, and now everything's all set.

·4 months agoWhen the buyer came over to pick the item up at that time you should've asked for the number which is a code to manually type in or you could've scanned it with your phone. If he couldn't provide it and deleted it you had to start a whole new transactions so the buyer would be able to provide you a code. There isn't a way of getting rid of it right now. Customer service will just tell you the same thing.
When you say "on your back up account" why do you have two accounts? There is no way the negative feedback on your other account will be removed if its old.

·4 months agoMy family has two accounts as well. One in my name, one in my wife's name. At various times we have used them to have one account focus on selling one type of product while the other sold everything else. While today we sell everything on one account and have the other set up as the tax-free account we use when we specifically buy something on ebay for resell.

OP4 months agoExactly. "Why would you have 2 accounts" has to be one of the stupidest questions ever, when you're dealing with a platform that has no seller support at all and one crazy buyer who's in a bad mood can destroy your feedback rating on a whim. Meanwhile yeah, my backup account does a whole different product line, which is another great reason for having one (or more).

·4 months agoHe can still get the confirmation code by going onto the actual ebay website and looking up the transaction instead of using the app. He probably deleted the email he got with it.
It will also eventually just go away, I have forgotten to do the scan a few times in the past.
