"Country of Origin" Question when making a listing.
Anyone know why the template for making a listing does not include England in the "Country of Origin" list. It's frustrating not being able to fill that in. England makes some excellent pottery and porcelain (Wedgwood to name one) and I would like to add it.

·6 months agoWhen you have items made in England, Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland @zztop11 , select United Kingdom.
Do not confuse the tiny country Northern Ireland with the larger Republic of Ireland. 🙂

·6 months agoOr when you have items made in Sharks and Dolphins, select United Kingdom. Do not confuse the tiny country of Whales with the larger Republic of Squid.

·6 months agoActually, sharks and squid: no. But Wales, whales, and dolphins - those all belong to Chuck.
All swans are his too by the way.
I once saw a really good episode of Time Team, where they dug up the graveyard of an ancient monastery, and there was a dolphin skeleton buried directly above a person. The best guess was the monks had found a beached dolphin, ate the meat, and then buried the evidence (bones), thinking nobody would ever know.

·6 months agoBecause United Kingdom is commonly used and always used for international trade purposes.
While not an exact parallel a similar thing would be saying that an item is made in Kansas rather than USA.

·6 months ago@zztop11 Just for the sake of not leaving that Item Specific blank, you can select United Kingdom from the pull-down menu. Then if you consider the item's being made in England (specifically) as relevant, you can always include 'England' in the title and/or item description.
