Country of origin
Does any one else find it surprising that ebay recently filled in the Country of Origin field for sellers? It seems as if ebay used some sort of automated guessing machine to fill in this field as a large portion of my listings have inaccurate information now. I've been called out on it twice now for items listed with USA as the country of origin that were actually made overseas.

·5 months agoIf you don't specifically indicate the country of origin then they try to "guess" based on info in your title and/or description.

·5 months agoEBAY advised Sellers several months ago that you are required to provide Country of Origin if you are selling internationally. If you neglected to do that, EBAY would just fill in country of origin "best guess". Ultimately, you are responsible for making sure this information is correct.
