Concerning the new post layout......
Summary: dhbookds expresses difficulty with the placement of replies in a forum layout, finding it hard to track responses, especially in longer threads. bennotbill agrees, noting that finding new posts in long threads can be cumbersome. nyr134 counters by highlighting a new feature that marks unread posts with a blue background, making them easier to locate.
I find the "reply" placement difficult.. In this example, I replied to McDougle.....there was already a reply from Quad.......I presumed my reply would place under McDougle post, but it posted after Quad. I understand the little circles give some indication of what replies are to what......but takes time to figure that out. I also use "oldest first" as choice of layout and that may have governed the placement, but I do think a reply should be directly under the post to which it refers..... tihs is an easy example to explain, I've found it much harder on some of the longer post to connect the replies.......

·1 week agoI find myself giving up looking for the new post on a long thread.
As with the current layout long threads often end up as virtually several threads joined together in a haphazard fashion. Who knows where the new post is in that.

·1 week agoBut, @bennotbill , doesn't it help that the new feature indicates what is unread and the the entire new post has a blue background? I find the new comments easy to locate now.
