combining orders and shipments
I have a potential buyer who is buying 3 separate items from me. Can I combine them into 1 invoice and 1 shipment fee? ~Thanks

·8 months agoI don’t like to bother a buyer with ‘housekeeping’ or asking them to rearrange their purchase, so, I just refund them back immediately any shipping overage with a message letting them know.

·8 months agoLikewise. Once I have the multiple items into one package, weighed and measured, I buy the postage via the Shipping link for the most expensive item, and once that's done, I mark the other items as Shipped and add the tracking number to each of those. I then kick off a partial refund to the buyer for whatever the overage was on the shipping.

·8 months agoYes, they have to add them to their cart and then request an invoice. Before you send the invoice you can make what ever adjustments to the shipping fee.

·8 months agoOne caveat: send invoice doesn't always work. I'm not sure why or what the particular conditions are, but sometimes its not an option visible to buyers. If your buyer doesn't see that option or can't figure it out, as others have stated have them check out as normal and then refund back the excess shipping charges they paid. I do it all the time, even without the buyer asking.

·8 months agoIf an item is on sale,, Ebay removes the combine shipping button,, I was told by Ebay,, " they are already getting a discount because it's on sale,, they don't need another one." Why Ebay insist on running our businesses for us is just beyond me!!!!
