Combined shipping on eBay International order
I had an international buyer accept counteroffers for 2 items and I mentioned that I combine shipping. They accepted and paid. Do I actually need to do anything different here or am I good to just send the 2 items together to eBay's shipping hub?
It sounds like eBay maybe automatically charges them a combined shipping cost? I'm not really sure what any of this looks like from the buyers end.

Combined shipping
If a buyer purchases multiple items from you, the order will automatically be combined if it's eligible for combined shipping. There are several reasons why shipping can't be combined when sending items through eBay International Shipping. For example, combined shipping won’t be applied if:
If the buyer is paying import fees at checkout for some items and paying import fees on delivery for other items in the same order, the shipping won’t be combined.

·4 months agoI don't think you can combine (for EIS) when the sales are via offers.
One way to check is to look for the code number in the address eBay provided, if the codes are different then they must be shipped to the Hub separately.
For sure, if a buyer makes two payments then they cannot be combined when shipping to the Hub.

OP4 months agoIt's showing up as a combined order, and the same for purchasing a shipping label. Normally in this case I would put in the actual weight, buy the label, and then refund the buyer the difference. But I don't know it that makes sense to do in this case since I'm shipping it to the eBay hub an not the buyer.

There is a little bit of info on this at the link I provided.

OP4 months agoOK, thanks. That's what I was planning to do. I'm just not sure how or what eBay charged the buyer and didn't want them getting screwed over on shipping costs when I mentioned I'd combine the shipping.
