Combined shipping for 2 items bought separately and going through global shipping
im a small seller and today had 2 sales from a buyer in Greece ! He asked if I would combine shipping and I agreed but I’m having a hard time adjusting it - my system says buyer hasn’t paid yet and also that I can’t issue an invoice for global shipping ! I’ve tried help messages but get formatted replies ; I tried following the directions but my system won’t give me access to change the shipping because buyer hasn’t paid ! I feel so stupid ! It seems like such an easy thing to do

·3 years agoYou, the seller, can't combine shipping if this is a GSP Global Shipping Program item. In some cases, GSP purchases CAN'T be combined. But, if it is possible, it is done automatically when the buyer pays.
If the buyer pays for the two items together, then GSP will combine them if that is possible ... and that is the only way that GSP items can be combined.
Don't try the "workaround" that was suggested earlier, because that is against the GSP rules. You have to include the code that GSP creates, which identifies each item, on the shipping label. There can only be one code per package.

·3 years agoNo need to feel stupid as it isn't possible to for you combine shipping with ebay international shipping. Even if the buyer puts both items in the cart they will have to pay full price shipping for each item. Hopefully they will change that in the future.
Ask your buyer if they would like you to cancel the other two sales and then you would make one listing with both items just for that buyer. You could title it Private listing for buyer xxx or something like that and send them the item number. That way, there would be just one shipping cost and it would save the buyer money. You would have to enter the correct dimensions for that packaging that you would be using to ship both items together as ebay does take that into account when figuring out the international shipping amount.
If you are worried about someone else purchasing it when you relist it you could price it very high and then accept the buyers offer at the agreed price.

·3 years ago@june071922 It is correct that they system isn't set up to combine packages when using GSP. The work around is for you to combine items together and get new weight and new measurements. You can send an invoice with the higher shipping on one, and the second invoice simply make shipping free. Then ship them together in one package and use the same tracking number on the other transaction. Make sure you mark the second item as shipped. Buyer will receive both items together, and you satisfied your buyer. Best of luck to you....

The gsp did combine the international shipping portion when the cart was used. But the seller is using EIS and that does not combine any portion of the shipping. Just like the gsp, sellers can not send invoices for EIS.
