Coin sold for $400 and still had to go through Authentication Services.
I sold a gold coin recently for $400. I went to ship it, and I noticed it had to go through the new Authentication Service. I thought that was strange, since I understood it had to meet the $500 threshold. I contacted eBay chat, and they explained why. If an item was listed at any time for $500 or more, then lowered and sold for under $500, it still had to go through AS. I recalled I had lowered the price a few days earlier. FYI for those who sell under the coin category.
