choice listings
Anyone with experience with these? I've never tried it but have some stuff that might work. Starting in JUne I will have no store and hence 250 listings to play with. I'm not sure I want to use them up by listing similar items one by one.
I guess my main question is this: do you list using the choice feature only if every item would be worth OK money sold separately?

·4 months agoYou can use variation listings in book category.......I've seen them used by subjects....railroads or by author.....
attraction is less shipping for anything after the first book out of that listing.
Can take time to sell ..........so that may not suit you......

OP4 months agothat is true. I'll be spending some months auctioning stuff from my backlog. But not indefintelly. I've sold some speciality magazines one by one in the past but it did take a long time.

OP4 months agoI guess I will just take 2-3 months to see if I list 250 auctions a month. At this rate I will not. That co uld give me enough listings to list some of these close to similar things singly instead of a variations listing.

·4 months agoI wouldn't use a variation listing on used items, be to hard to describe each item.
Plus, if they are different items, they should have their own listings.

·4 months agoVariation listings are toxic. Buyers hate them, as they are confusing and the option they wanted is inevitably sold out or overpriced. Most are eventually trained to not click on them.
The book categories also do not allow variation listings.
Finally, variation listings are a nightmare of labor, it would make more sense just to turn the store back on and put the listings back up then to craft listings that take many hours each and will get much worse results than separate listings.

·4 months agoAre you referring to listing variations? Usually that is used when you have "different color or size" of exact same item.
Not sure if this feature is even available when listing "books" that you are selling. Every book is different condition, author, edition, hard cover or paperback, number of pages.

OP4 months agoFor example I see many of these listings for Louis L'Amour books. T hey are a series and different titles. One I have is a speciality magazine, They all have the same title but different issues.
