Check your Seller fees
I sold an item and I priced it calculating sellers fees, plus promoters.subtracting those fees I wanted my proceeds to be no less then 2000. We’ll it did not make sense. So I read mor of the sellers. Fees. My buyer paid 2450 including tax and shipping. They charge the fees from the total the buyer pays including the tax and shipping. So I basically was charged 12.9 percent of the shipping and tax paid to the state. So when they tell you your getting a shipping discount eBay takes it back when the collect their sellers fees. I anyways has anyone notice that the are including the buyers taxed amount and shipping amount in our sellers fees? It seem like such a scam. I thoroughly disappointed. It’s not right.

·3 years agoI'm flabbergasted by the number of people who feel eBay's practices aren't "fair" or "right", or that they don't care about people. Of course it's not fair. Of course they don't care about you. They're a business. They care about profits and their shareholders. That's it. If you are expecting more, prepare for disappointment.
Shareholders demand increasing profits every year. If the economy is in the toilet, guess from where they're going to squeeze those profits. Yup, that's right. There's no point complaing about it. That's capitalism.

·3 years agoI don’t understand why there are so many sellers that do that? I have done that since I started selling here.
That’s what all successful business do. They pass all of their costs on to buyers. Hasn’t anyone notice the price of everything going up in stores and restaurants? The costs of labor, energy, and commodities are all higher so all businesses are passing the costs to buyers by raising prices.
