I sold an auction that is going to Canada. The buyer said they would pay addition shipping cost but has paid the invoice. How do I change the buyer for addition cost after they have paid?

·2 years agoIf it was going USPS...USA gets a better deal than other countries going USPS not using eBay shipping labels to Canada. I have mailed items as such in the past and the shipping wasn't as high.
$20. via eBay Standard shipping...I would think that would cover the shipping.

That listing offers worldwide shipping, to Canada it's showing $20 shipping via eBay Standard International.
It is your only current or recently sold listing that offers International shipping.

·2 years agoIf the buyer paid, it is because you made a mistake in your listing and specified a valid shipping charge to Canada.
eBay does not allow multiple payments for a transaction, and thus they cannot not allow sellers to bill additional shipping after the initial payment.
And even if they could, they would never do it because it would facilitate extortion by unscrupulous sellers.

·2 years agoYou cannot charge a buyer more for item/shipping after they already paid. Your only option would be to cancel transaction citing problems with buyer address, relist but first adjust your shipping for international buyers. First alert the buyer that you will be doing this so they aren't surprised.
Otherwise you will be paying the shipping to Canada out of your pocket.

·2 years agoOf course you can if it's shipping to Canada and you're doing that as a favour for the buyer because your listing wasn't set up to ship to Canada.
