Change to Clothing Sizes, not sure what's best to do?
I've noticed very recently the size section has been changed for things like shirts or sweatshirts. You used to be able to put in sizes like 16.5 or very large sizes, and if for some reason it didn't show up in the drop down, you could still enter the size yourself.
Since last night, I've had an issue with two items. On one, the size on the tag I believe is 17.5/33 but neck size is apparently no longer an option on the new size table. I think 33 may have been an option, but not the initial 17.5. And today I'm trying to make a listing for a 5XLT sweatshirt, but it only goes up to 4XLT. You no longer can type in your own size. But size is a requirement to post.
One Size is an option... do I settle for that option and have the actual sizing in the title and description? Not sure why they decided to change the sizing selections, but it's making things more difficult having limited sizing options, not better 😅

Be sure you are listing in the most appropriate category.
If you are trying to list a men's dress shirt, use the dress shirt category in order to see the neck and sleeve length fields.
For sweatshirt size, I do see your issue. I can choose a 5XL or 6XL, but not a 5XLT or 6XLT.
@caldreamer is right -- it should work if you do a sell similar off someone else's 5XLT listing, at least it did when I tested it.

·7 months agoI agree that is very stupid on EBAY's part. I noticed there are some Sellers that were able to include 5X in their Item Specifics (probably older listings). Maybe you could use their listing, do a "sell similar" which allows 5X.

·7 months agoI don't see this change on my end. I list using the Android App as well as the desktop, and I'm still able to enter my own custom size in the "Search for Size" section.
I hope this is not a change they are making, because I enter a custom size quite frequently.

OP7 months agoThis is how it's been for a few days at least. But I was listing sizes like L/XL so it wasn't a big deal. I didn't realize it didn't include all sizes until today. I hope they go back to the old way, this chart is not easier at all and requires extra steps.

·7 months agoOh no, I don't like that at all.
I sell a bunch of women's suits where the jacket and the skirt are not the same size. So if the jacket is a size 10 and the skirt is a size 8, I'll just type 10 / 8 into the custom size area.
I know that custom size isn't great for search results, however, I make sure to list the different sizes in as many places in the listing as I can because people don't always look at the entire listing. (LOL, I have it in 4 separate places in my listings right now, and I still have people messaging me asking about the sizes.)

Let's hope from time to time they actually change something that IS broken.
