I want to sell a fake Chanel little black jacket. Obviously I’m selling it as a fake and not passing it off as Real! Do people think it’s worth anything?

·1 year agoI used to work in a thrift store and we got in fakes all the time, mostly purses and bags. We just threw them away, we didn't want any part of it. Some will go so far as destroy them. Sure someone might buy it for a few bucks fully knowing it's counterfeit but why would I want to be the source? Technically it's criminal and I am not that seller.
Plus, counterfeit is tacky.

·1 year agoThey don't seem to enforce the whole t-shirt or mug thing at all. There are a lot of absolutely massive sellers that have been here for many years who sell nothing but copyright infringement t-shirts and mugs.

·1 year agoThe other word for fake is counterfeit. EBay has policies against selling counterfeit items. So better is not to try selling it on EBay.

·1 year agoHeed the above advice @kateswadling2000 from many posters that gave you info on selling fakes.
If you don't want to trash it, my top suggestions are:
- Donate to a womens or homeless shelter where someone can use it and it won't be put back in the market for sale.
- Recycle it. There are many retail stores that accept textiles for fabric recycling. We bring our old, unwearable clothing to the local farmers market where there's a stand that accepts textiles for recycling. We snip off any non-textile accents like buttons and zippers.

·1 year agoTake the jacket sell it at a flea market. And be sure and tell your buyers it's fake. You'd be surprised, there are folks who will buy fakes.
But don't sell it on Ebay and if you do be sure and title it "Fake" or "Faux" Chanel.

·1 year agoYou first need to remove all labels and brand logos. List it as a jacket, no name. Fakes are a crime to sell even if you disclose the fact they are fake. I would still not list it on eBay as they don't allow fakes.

·1 year agoYou can sell it, but not as a Fake Channel. You have to list it as a little black jacket with High End Features and take pics showing all the details and the buyer can decide if it looks High End or Not

·1 year agoHonestly a bootleg jacket isn't worth wasting your time on given the fact that it likely won't sell for more than $10 and you could get in trouble for doing so.
I would just cut the tag off and donate it.

The proper way to get rid of a bootleg, @kateswadling2000, is to prominently and permanently deface... or just destroy it.

·1 year agoAt best if it had no Chanel labelling on it you could sell it as unbranded. Even then if it's a distinctive Chanel style it will still end up getting pulled. So as everyone else says trying to sell it is a no no.
If it's a nice jacket perhaps a friend or relative would like it.

You may want to familiarize yourself with eBay's Counterfeit Items Policy
Not only is it not allowed, it is also illegal.
Knowingly selling counterfeit or fake items is illegal in the United States AND Australia,considered a form of trademark infringement, and can result in criminal charges, fines, and potential jail time depending on the severity of the offense; even if the buyer is aware the item is counterfeit, the seller can still face legal consequences.
Not to mention permanent suspension from eBay.

·1 year agoRegardless of whether it's fake or not, are you aware that eBay rules forbid the selling of fakes, counterfeits, knockoffs etc?

You won't be able to sell this item on ebay at all I am sorry to say. If you try it will most likely get taken down or reported and in addition you may lose the ability to sell anything in the future if your account gets suspended. It is not worth the risk.
