Catagories
I have about 5 catagories, but I am seeing clothing in home goods and nothing in one catagory that I have allot of. Is this even important, if this is, then how do I assign a listed item to that category and remove others that are in the wrong place. Thanks for any advice...

OP6 months agoI do not know the difference. What I am seeing in my store is that for example, Ralph Lauren shirts are listed as Home Goods, and some listings are in no category. I don't know if any of this matters, but If it does, then I need to correct what I have listed now and in the future and I need to know how to do that. Thanks

·6 months ago@lakegirls to change the category you have an item in, the easiest way is probably just to edit your item & change the Store Category that you put it in. Ultimately you are the one making the choice when you list the item, so if you put it in the wrong catgeory, just edit your item & change your categorie(s) to the correct one. You have up to 2 choices for each listing. The other way you can control all of this is from Seller Hub, choose Store>Store Categories & you can move things around that way & add or remove from your store categories.
So if it's just a matter of changing which category an item is in, best bet is just to edit your listing. But if you want to revise categories or add or remove, you can do it from the SH>Store>Store Categories page.

I looked at a few of your listings and see a few things you need to change.
Most importantly, it is against postal regulations to send magazines by Media Mail. These need to be sent by Ground Advantage. It is good you group them together as that helps with postage.
Your photos, particularly the lead one, should show what you are selling as that is what the buyer sees when they search for items. On your Rose Brocade Skye McGhie, your thumbnail photo only shows the sugar bowl but you are actually selling the sugar, creamer and three salad plates. Your lead photo should ideally show all five pieces and this info also needs to be in your title. Same on your Danskin ballet-style shoes, your thumbnail shows the box but not the shoes. Your thumbnail for the Pier 27 Cancun tshirt shows the design but not that it's on a tshirt; your second photo would be better in the first position.

Maybe I'm going blind, but @wastingtime101 is correct that Store Categories are also defined by you & then you get to select which category you wish to put an item in. Both originally when you start your store, but also in each listing, you can select up to 2 Store Categories for your item to be in.
