it's now common practice for ups/fed ex to take photos of delivered packages & it's great to see that photo when shipping with either carrier as further proof the item was deliveredusps does not to my knowledge photograph delivered packagesa buyer complained he did not receive them itemups tracking showed it delivered to the correct address & on timeas far as ebay is concerned case closedbut to further assist you or to provide additional support/proof search tracking on the carriers web siteto the right of tracking history you should see a small box asking if you'd like to see a photoof the item & while the image is small it shows the item wherever it's placedthis also helps when a buyer claims the carrier must have left it at the wrong address even though tracking proves otherwiseone buyer claimed the photo only shows the item you can't see anything else (doorway, deck...) so they could've dropped it off anywhere. carriers are not taking photos of the overall area of your residence where the item was left including your house or apt #. yes they could misread the address or if they're in a community where every house looks the same it can happen but it's not often & even then tracking will support the seller. but it's nice to have further proof an item was delivered making it a bit more challenging for buyers especially scammers to claim otherwise.
