Cant ship to Dubai
I have a listing for some servers, and a buyer from Dubai is trying to purchase them. However, when he goes to check out, he gets an error message that the seller will not ship this item to Dubai, United Arab Emirates. I tried to check out as a guest with a dubai address for that item and I got the same results. I don't have any location restrictions, so I'm not sure why this is happening. Any ideas?
One other question. Is there anyway to setup the shipping size amount for multiple packages? What I mean is, for eBay's Global shipping, it goes based off the package dimensions you input when creating the listing, I presume. If the item for sale will ship in two 10 x 10 x 10 boxes, how can you input that information?

Obviously buyer is not using a FF or the sale would have gone through since it would be to a US address. Hopefully OP can tinker with the listing and get this to go through the EIS program .

Look at the observations. If just one little item is off it can't be sold to your buyer. Maybe they don't have a cellphone number on their account - hard for a courier to deliver without. What about invoices and certificates? That could be your problem. Can you have multiple boxes for customs? I've never heard of that.
My experience has been it's best to sell the bigger dollar amounts within the US.

The item you sold may not be able to be shipped to Dubai, due to customs restrictions. Good idea to check it out.

Would I mail something expensive there? Nope...just my opinion.
If it is for like $25. 0r $30. I would...
The laws are so strict there as well as Saudi Arabia for shipments entering the Middle East I just wouldn't.
I had a great buyer in the states who returned back to the Middle East and said he can't make buy anymore because of certain laws...and heck...I only sell stamps.
I have never had a buyer from Dubai or Saudi Arabia.

·1 year agoMost buyers living in the Middle East use a 'freight forward' instead of their real address by the way.
So ask what the mailing address is also...because you are limited to only tracking in the USA if it is going to be 'freight forward'.

·1 year agoIf it is the following item it is probably because you do not have a shipping method identified and you are not shipping internationally. In the description you indicate it ships freight but the buyer is responsible for handling the shipping. If you are going to go that route you may want to list it as local pickup only. You could provide a local freight shipping company to the buyer and the freight company could work with the buyer and you regarding pickup and shipping it to the buyer. Make sure the buyer pays for the item BEFORE pickup.
One other issue to consider is this is going freight and given what I suspect are some sizable packages and the weight the buyer may want to talk with the freight company to find out how the freight company would be shipping it to Dubai. If this is going sea trap container there may be some problems give the current longshoreman's strike that has shutdown the east coast and gulf ports.

Unless the buyer is using a freight forwarder in the US, they won't be able to buy it.

·1 year agoYou are using eBay International Shipping which does not ship all items to all countries. Since that listing shows that it ships to the US only, the EIS must not ship it at all.

Based on the information OP provided on the size and quantity of the packages, 5 - 28" x 12" x 12" I am guessing it's the total size, and possibly the weight of the shipment. A number of the OP's other listings I just noticed are using EIS and will ship to Dubai.
OP could bread the one listing up into several and see if one or two in a box would go through.

If eIS/GSP has had too many problems with a given destination they will not ship to that destination.
I was in the PO a couple of days ago and the clerk was patiently explaining to a woman that she could neither track nor insure a package she was trying to send to Zimbabwe. For five solid minutes.

·1 year agoFalse, eBay ships to Dubai , look at my profile and address and orders I made and all received to my address , you will edit your comment cz its not true , how do you compare Dubai with Zimbabwe ?? cant understand ?? Dubai is the shipping hub between east and west .
