Can't list Size 33 Pants because ebay doesn't have it in size options
Summary: mflorenzano2016 raised an issue about listing pants with size 33 on eBay, which lacks this size in their options. danlmoe expressed similar frustrations, noting changes that complicate listing UK sizes. They both contacted customer service, but solutions have yet to materialize. grann-4629 and others suggested workarounds like specifying sizes in descriptions or selecting nearby size options. caldreamer highlighted broader eBay size option deletions and mentioned writing a complaint to eBay without response, while linenandlaceltd and others shared strategies to cope with size discrepancies in listings.
Anybody else having this issue when I go to relist or try to list a pair of pants with size 33 it won't list because they don't have it in the size option?

路1 week ago 路 Editedthis what we are doing now...we sell new with tags shoes & clothes and listing a hand measurement is not proper to do....we had to add this into the description on board shorts b/c size 29 is not valid for swimwear, because we have had return items as INAD before when we selected the incorrect dropdown size even though size was listed correctly in the description and title.
For ebay customers - shorts are size 29, not 28 but ebay recently updated their available sizing attributes and no longer recognize size 29 as a valid size for us to select on item setup

路2 weeks agoHand measure and put that size in the item specifics, then explain it in the description.
It also matters what era the pants are from. If they are modern and have some stretch to them, then you could select 34 and state they are actually 33. I'm a dude and wear size 36 jeans, but believe me I'm no 36. 馃槅

路2 weeks agoEBAY recently "deleted many size options" including women's SIZE 33 (and SIZE 18 and 20 which is on all standardized sizing charts).
EBAY suggestion was to just list under "any size" and then mention correct size in your description. There is a huge problem with that, search only pull size shown in "item specifics". So if customer searches for SIZE 33 your item will not appear.
If these are men's pants you could list as 32 (and explain they are actually 33 inch). Everyone wants an extra inch right?
If these are women's pants you could list them as SIZE 16 (standard charts show waist as 33-34 inch).
I wrote a complaint to EBAY corporate office in San Jose about this but haven't gotten any response yet.

路2 weeks agoWhat I'll usually do is if it measures differently from the tag (say 34" instead of 33) I'll put that measurement as the size and then mention in the description tag says 33 but measures 34 and there was no 33 option in the drop down.
If it's the same as the tag size, I'll just make note in condition box and description that it's actually a 33 but there was no drop down option and select the next size lower, so 32 in this case. If someone didn't read and gets something slightly bigger, it's more likely they'll keep since people gain weight or can wear a belt. If it's too small though you're out of luck.
I have this issue with not all sizes being available with certain items on other marketplaces as well and it's very annoying. It's not a difficult thing for them to fix.

路2 weeks agoJust put in your listing 'larger than 32 but not as large as 34'.

路2 weeks agoYes I have same problem. The old layout was perfect. You could do your own entry, I list items from UK occasionallyand could fill in size with UK size and US equivalent. Whoever thought the new layout was better is probably a non shopper or no lister. Bring back the old version.

OP2 weeks agoI put a call into customer service supposedly they鈥檙e gonna be looking at that. I told him I can鈥檛 believe you guys is bigger for Company as you guys are and you missed something like this. It鈥檚 also for size 38. What I鈥檝e been doing to get around is putting in just one size because at least I have the accurate size in the description or the title.

路2 weeks agoI have also added sizing details on "show more" and then "custom item specifics". ..don't want returns with not as described reason. I also contacted Customer Service and 'a ticket' was opened with promise of call back in 24 -48 hrs. No call ever received.
