Can't leave feedback as a seller
I sold something, and I go to my selling: sold section to leave a feedback for the buyer. I got an error message that seems to suggest I, as a seller, can't leave a positive feedback for 7 days. It also thinks I'm leaving feedback as a buyer when I'm the one selling. Did eBay break something?
When I try to leave a feedback, positive is the only option (and has been for more than 10 years). I type in "thanks for prompt payment, hope to do business again" I also tried "thank you" and "thanks" and still got error message indicating I have to wait 7 days.

Good question and it is not out of the realm of possibilities. As you surmised, that is normally a message Buyers get when trying to leave Neutral or Negative FB for "Experienced" Sellers (they used to be called Power Sellers). Maybe that customer also Sells and somehow you got that message because of that. We have no account access here so that is something you would have to check.
It has actually been since 2008 (17 years now) that Sellers have only been allowed to leave Positive FB for Buyers ... but regardless of that, something seems amiss.

I have feedback to buyers automated so I never come across anything like you’ve experienced.
I suggest you wait and check later.
