Cannot stop "This one hasn’t sold yet? Let’s change that" emails
Summary: mofomoer is unable to stop receiving emails with the subject "This one hasn't sold yet? Let's change that." Several other participants, including grann-4629, shado-x, squinkercat59, adamcartwright, and hardrhymer76, have joined the discussion, indicating they may have similar concerns, but none have provided additional details or solutions about how to address the issue.
I have been an eBay member for 22 years. I have sold hundreds (well, dozens) of items. I currently have a niche selection of ~6 books for sale. They are priced higher than other sellers.
Every month, on the exact same day of the month, I get an email, subject "This one hasn't sold yet? Let's change that". I DO NOT WANT THESE EMAILS. I am perfectly aware of my selling status, I do not need eBay emails cluttering my inbox.
OF COURSE, I have checked my "communication preferences". I have checked all my account settings. I have contacted Customer Service on no fewer than 5 occasions (thrice receiving a ticket number that has gone nowhere, and thrice receiving a customer service transcript of my complaint). This problem persists.
I know many of you will say to just delete the email. To mark it as spam, etc. While I appreciate your effort to fix this problem for me: this is eBay's doing. I have communicated -VERY CLEARLY- my desire when/how to be contacted, and they continue to violate that. There are no options (ahem, sorry, "communication preferences") left to edit. Customer service gets me nowhere. Clearly this is a glitch in their machine (perhaps from me being such an old account holder?)
I see from the forums this has happened to others, without resolution
Any advice (aside from 'delete the email', 'ignore it', 'mark it as spam') would be very helpful. I would like eBay to take the concerns of its members seriously, and it seems that they cannot (/will not?) toggle a back-end setting to stop sending me reminders about my in-stock items.

Set up a rule in your email client to automatically route those messages to your trash folder.

·4 months agoDepending on the options available for the email app you're using, you may be able to set up specific rules for incoming mail.
For example, in Outlook I have a rule in place to forward mail from a specific sender, with a specific keyword in the subject to another email address. I had noticed that one of the actions available was "permanently delete", or something to that effect.
Of course, the message will still show up in your eBay Messages section, and there's nothing you can do about that.

·4 months agoI actually don't mind getting that "This one hasn’t sold yet? Let’s change that" messages, because they prompt me to go in and refresh stale listings.
The messages I really can't stand are the ones reminding me about my drafts. Those are not necessary and uber annoying.

·4 months agoI hate getting those. If I feel I need to sell it that badly, I will end the listing and take it to the antique mall to sell, often for even more (same goes for items where people make ridiculously low offers). I am not going to pay Ebay for promotion fees which is what they are salivating over like rabid dogs over raw meat. I generally go with the flow as far as fees and policies are concerned, but I don't like them trying to get us to pay even more fees for promoting, especially since most of my items are not in oversaturated categories.

·4 months agoIt worked for me, but it stopped all marketing emails from eBay. I like receiving offers for items I am watching, so I had to turn it back on. Now I simply (I know you don't want to hear this!) delete all the garbage ones like those offering a great deal on tires for my non-existent car.
I am a buyer ... it may be different for sellers.
The only ones I couldn't stop are those advertising 'live events' but apparently they only show up occasionally to 'encourage buyers to take advantage' of what appear to be overpriced trading cards.
