·2 years ago'cancel a winning bid'..
I think if you cancel the 'auction'...you are still charged the auction fee bid...maybe I am wrong?

·2 years agoIt's a buyer requested cancellation, no fees apply.
You are thinking of an active listing with bids.
Canceling bids and managing bidders
When you cancel a bid on a live auction and that bidder is in the lead to win, the next bidder will be notified that they are winning the auction.
If the auction is already over you can cancel the winner's transaction citing buyer requested
How sellers can cancel an order
You can send the runner up a second chance offer , but understand not all buyers accept those and many have that option turned off, so you may not be able to send one.

OP2 years agoHi Thanks for replying. The auction ended & i figured out how to cancel their winning bid. But shows nothing about the second bidder winning or being notified. It looks like the item went back to square one & the bidding process would start over
thank you for any info

·2 years agoThe second bidder does not automatically win. You have to send them a Second Chance Offer, which is a brand-new listing which is identical to the original auction, except that it's a fixed price listing with the price set at the underbidder's highest bid. The buyer can then choose whether to purchase the item at that price.

The only way for the bidding process to start over is to relist the item.

·2 years agoI think guidance was provided in your other thread to not have the cancelled listing relisted if you want to do a second chance offer.
