·10 months agoeBay International Shipping is still delivering to Canada, if you want to sell to Canada that is an option. eBay has alternative carriers and said they will use a carrier other than Canada Post on the Canadian end.
Could ask the buyer to cancel the order and rebuy it with EIS, though the shipping will be more for them. EIS also has a wealth of benefits for the seller versus shipping directly.

OP10 months agoThe problem with that is eBay doesn’t allow you to choose which countries you want to use EIS and which countries you’ll ship to manually. It’s an all or nothing kinda thing that I’m not willing to do.

·10 months agoThey do, though the default is to allow EIS to determine country exclusions. You can turn that option off and manually control the country exclusions if you choose, even if you use EIS. I just checked to make sure the setting was still there.

·11 months agoThats what I am doing, I did think of using an intergater like Speedx but thats pointless because they often use canada post for the final mile delivery.

·11 months agoYou shouldn't allow buyers from Canada to order from you in the first place, put Canada on your excluded country list in your settings, otherwise you run the risk of a buyer reporting you for "doesn't want to complete the sale"

·11 months agoThere should be no problem for the OP. The strike in Canada is a legit reason to cancel the transaction.
Before the strike, I sell to Canada all the time. I personally would not block them except for the reason we can't currently get anything delivered. I've had great buyers from Canada.

·11 months agoSince the Canadian postal service is still on strike, it sounds reasonable that you would need to do this.
