Canceling i bid
How can I, as a seller, cancel a bid while the auction is still in progress. (The bidder asked me to so because he accidentally bid more than he could afford.)

·5 months agoI have bidders ask me to cancel a bid from time to time. When they do this I ask them to contact Ebay and ask them how to do this. I just don't think the seller should take the time to do this when it's the bidders mistake.

·5 months agoThat seems like a completely unnecessary hassle and extends the time in which they could get angry and even potentially do something harmful. I would just cancel the bid, and depending on how nicely they ask, maybe block them. Process complete quickly and they’re out of your hair.

·5 months agoSellers can also cancel any bid they wish, though I agree it's probably best for the buyer to do it (it will be logged as a bid retraction on their account, though to my knowledge no action is taken on buyers with high levels of bid retractions).

He can cancel and then put in the correct amount.
