canceled a buyers bid because it was suspicious was charged a fee close to 10 dollars then i got a message from ebay not to sell to the buyer? want my canceled fee back isn't its ebay responsibility to control buyers?

·2 years agoThere's no fee for canceling a bid. Sounds like maybe you ended the listing rather than canceling the bid? Which listing?

·2 years agoNot a lot of detail with regards to the activity. What was the item? How much time was left on the auction when you canceled the bidders bid? Was this the only bid on the item? Did you have a reserve on the auction? What was "suspicious" about the bidder.
This is not eBay support so nobody here can actually get you your dollars back but understanding what actually happened my provide the ability to recommend a course of action to try and recover your $.

When an item has a bid, that means that the item is sold - final selling price to be determined at the end of the listing period at which time ebay will collect a FVF from the seller. But when the seller cancels, ebay charges you for the fee they would have collected had you not canceled.

OP2 years agoEbay cancelled a sell to the buyer and told me to not have any activity with them just want my seller fees thanks!
