Can you block a buyer from contacting you through Ebay?
I get people now and then that don't read 'the fine print' section of my listings, then repeatedly send messages through ebay asking for answers and keep asking even after I tell them the answers are on the listing. So basically I'm asking- Can you block a user from contacting you on Ebay? I add them to my 'blocked buyers list' but that sadly doesn't stop them from bothering me in my messages regularly.

·3 years agoNo, there is no way to block users from messaging you even if they threaten or harass you. Even calls to Ebay will not help; Ebay will do nothing to stop it.
But you can block users from buying and bidding. If they order or bid through a different account, you can cancel their bids or purchases if you catch them. Upon request, Ebay will remove their retaliatory negative feedback due to the user's violation of Ebay's policy.
Ebay does not screen prescreen users for mental illness or criminal activity. It is up to to you to deal with them.

OP4 years agoI'm just a basic seller, I don't have a store or any advanced features. I'm not sure if that option is available to higher tier ebayers, but it's not available at all for me
