Can we get the Ads Team here to provide some clarity about the new Store Ad features?
Summary: my-cottage-books-and-antiques inquires about the new Promoted Stores Custom ad feature on eBay, seeking clarity on various aspects such as item selection, custom landing pages, and the visibility of this feature, following an announcement. my-cottage-books-and-antiques points out that this feature is not visible on their Seller Hub despite the announcement stating it is available, adding several specific questions regarding its deployment and availability. devon@ebay acknowledges the query and attempts to forward it to the relevant Ads team. Concerns about misinformation and lack of transparency are raised, with my-cottage-books-and-antiques emphasizing the need for timely and accurate updates from eBay.
@devon@ebay Can we get the Ads Team here to provide some clarity about the new Store Ad features?
from the announcement made today:
What you need to know
Promoted Stores Custom is designed to give eligible sellers more creative control and help highlight the inventory that matters most to your business. You can now choose both the listings you want to feature in your ads and the exact Store page buyers land on.
How it works
Promoted Stores Custom gives you the flexibility to tailor your ads from start to finish:
Select up to 1,000 listings, including ten featured items to showcase in your ads
I gather a Stores ad will showcase a maximum of ten items ? But does this mean I can select which ten are shown? Or does it mean I can select up to 1000, and ebay chooses ten from the 1000? What's the point of selecting up to 1000 if only ten are shown?
Choose a custom landing page option for your Store, such as a sales event page, a curated collection, an influencer-led page, or an eBay Live event page.
Previously we could choose a coupon landing page? Or a category page? Are those options still available?
And my store home page?
What about my About Page in the Store?
Is a Sales Event ANY sales event we are running? And if I'm running two different discount sales, for example, can I run two different Store Ads so I can advertise both events? Or can I set the "Sale" page in my store as the landing page (which will have links to both ad campaigns)?
What is a "Curated Collection"? I am familiar with this from the Ambassador Affiliate Store, but not the regular ebay store? Is this something new? Is it available to all Store Sellers? Where can I find it to implement it in my ebay store?
What is "an influencer-led page"? Is this the same thing as an Ambassador Affiliate Store? If not, what is it?
An "ebay Live Event page"? That currently would be limited to a very small percentage of ebay store sellers...or is it being mentioned here because ebay plans to open Live to all Store Sellers soon?
Why it matters
This update allows you to take control over your ads, how they look, and where they lead:
Highlight the listings you want buyers to see
Drive traffic to the page that best represents your brand or promotion
Build your brand visibility, promote a special event, or increase Store visits
Next steps
To start using Promoted Stores Custom:
Go to Seller Hub > Advertising > Promoted Stores
Select Promoted Stores Custom during campaign setup
Add your featured listings and landing page
I do NOT see "Promoted Stores Custom" when I go to that page. I still see the old, choose between public coupon and category option. Nothing about these new options. Is this supposed to be live as of today?
Visit the Seller Center to learn more about Promoted Stores Custom.
Nope. Nothing there that I see.

Hi all! I know that it has been some time but the Ads team does have answers that they would like to share to the various questions that have come up in this thread and other events:
Does a Promoted Stores Custom ad showcase a maximum of 10 items?
Yes. With Promoted Stores Custom, you can select a broader pool of listings for the campaign, and up to 10 featured listings can be prioritized for use in the ad experience.
Can I choose the exact 10 items that are shown in the ad?
You can choose which listings you want to feature and prioritize, but the exact items shown in the ad may still vary based on how the ad is rendered for buyers.
If only a limited number of items appear in the ad, what is the point of selecting up to 1,000 listings?
Selecting a larger set of listings gives you more control over the inventory the campaign can pull from, while your featured listings help signal which items matter most to your business.
Are category and coupon landing page options still available?
Yes. Category and coupon campaigns are still available. Promoted Stores Custom is an additional option that gives eligible sellers more control over featured listings and landing pages.
Can I still send buyers to my Store home page?
Promoted Stores Custom supports Store-based landing page options, including Store and Store category destinations.
When you say “sales event page,” does that mean any sale I’m currently running?
Promoted Stores Custom supports sales event-style landing page options. If you’re running a promotion and want to direct traffic to a specific event page, that is the intended type of use case for this feature.
If I’m running two different discount events, can I run two different Store Ads to promote them separately?
Promoted Stores Custom is designed to let sellers align campaigns to specific listings and landing pages. If you want to support separate promotions with different destinations, that is consistent with how the feature is meant to be used.
Can I use my Store sale page as the landing page if that page links to more than one promotion?
Custom landing pages are meant to give you more flexibility in where buyers land, including pre-built Store-related destinations and event-style pages. If your goal is to send buyers to the page that best represents your current promotion, that is aligned with this feature
What is a curated collection?
A curated collection refers to a pre-built page or destination that groups together a specific set of inventory around a theme, promotion, or storytelling angle. The goal is to give sellers more flexibility to drive buyers to a focused shopping experience rather than only to a standard category or coupon page.
Is curated collection something all Store sellers can use right now?
Promoted Stores Custom is currently available to eligible sellers only, so access to Custom landing page options depends on whether your account is included in the current availability set.
Promoted Stores Custom is currently available to eligible managed sellers with an active eBay Store subscription. If you're eligible, you'll see Custom as a landing page option when you create a Promoted Stores campaign in Seller Hub.
What is an influencer-led page?
An influencer-led page is a landing page experience built around an influencer, creator, or curated personality-driven storefront or collection. It is one of the landing page types supported within Promoted Stores Custom.
Is an influencer-led page the same thing as an Ambassador Affiliate Store?
Not exactly. An influencer-led page refers more broadly to a landing page built around an influencer, creator, or curated storefront experience. An Ambassador Affiliate Store may be one example of that kind of destination, but the terms should not be treated as exact synonyms.
What is an eBay Live event page?
An eBay Live event page is a supported landing page type within Promoted Stores Custom. It gives sellers and partners a way to direct buyers from a Store ad to a Live event destination when that experience is available to them.
Does mentioning eBay Live here mean Live is opening to all Store sellers?
At this time, eBay Live is not currently open to all store sellers. It means eBay Live event pages are one of the landing page types that can be used within Promoted Stores Custom where eligible.
I still only see the older options like coupon and category. Why?
That is expected for sellers who do not yet have access to the Custom option. Category and coupon remain available, while Custom is appearing only for eligible sellers during the current rollout.

OP3 months agoThanks Devon. This is good information, but I would add , to be clear, only a very small number of sellers are "eligible" for this custom store ad feature....while ebay has not revealed exactly what criteria are used to determine eligibility, ebay has confirmed in a separate communication, that a seller MUST have 1. a business account AND 2. an account manager to be eligible.

·7 months ago@12345jamesstamps your question is about Promoted General cost per sale ads, this post is specifically about the updates just announced about Promoted Stores cost per click ads.
https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/Promoted-Stores-Custom-Brings-CPC-Ads-To-Ambassador-Affiliates/td-p/35437030
https://www.ebay.com/sellercenter/news/2026-january/promoted-stores
You might want to start a separate thread or post in one of the existing threads about the General attribution changes if that's what your question is about.

·7 months agoI think this is the right one to post...per devon@eBay asking about examples.
Some of us kinda need it in simple language and not have to be a computer language expert.
We know about the updates.
We don't need you to 'keep' posting 'threads' of the updates.

·7 months ago@12345jamesstamps Devon was asking for examples of questions about the Promoted Stores ad changes because that's what @my-cottage-books-and-antiques is talking about and Devon was responding to that OP.
For the sake of avoiding confusion, it would be good to keep this thread on the topic of Promoted Stores, but if you start a thread with your question about Promoted General ads, I'd be happy to take the discussion over there and try to answer your questions. 🙂

·7 months agoOops...my mistake...store ads different from campaign ads. Got it.
my-cottage-books-and-antiques
OP7 months ago@12345jamesstamps My post is about the new announcement that came out TODAY about STORE ads, NOT the announcement about the General Campaign Ads attribution rule change. STORE ads is a completely different type of ad. It is a Pay Per Click ad campaign for your STORE, not just a listing.
I will be happy to answer your questions, however:
If an item is NOT in a General Ad Campaign when purchased, there is NO ad fee.
A click on Item A will impact Item A. It will NOT impact Item B.

·7 months agoMy mistake. Sorry.
So confusing with campaign ads (promoting) and store ads and such.
12345jamesstamps
·7 months agoI am curious also.
I was promoting high end items...some at 20%...while not promoting other items.
If a potential buyer looks at high end items promoted at 20% but buys cheap items not promoted at all or maybe 2%...do the none promoted items get that promoted charge and at what promoted rate(s)?...and what about looking at something at 20% promoted but buying an item promoted at 2%?...what ids the promoted fee? Thanks for any help.

·7 months agoStarting January 13, 2026, items listed on ebay.com, ebay.ca, and cafr.ebay.ca and promoted with a general campaign strategy will use the following attribution definition when reporting sales and charging ad fees:
An attributed sale will be when any buyer purchases the promoted item within 30 days of any click on the ad, regardless of whether the buyer themselves clicked on the ad. The item must be promoted at the time of click and the time of sale. The seller will be charged the ad rate at the time of sale.
My understanding is if you promote at 20% and that item sells you will ALWAYS PAY 20% (as long as one person in the world clicked on your ad). You never pay more than the "percentage that you chose" for that particular item.

OP7 months ago@caldreamer This thread is NOT about the new General Campaign Ad attribution rule. It is about the just announced STORE AD changes....totally different ad product.
