I was selling two Apple iPhones 122 separate listings, but one buyer has purchased both phones .Theyâ€™ve paid straight away but my guts telling me something is fishy here, why would purchase two exact same phones of me , at same timeThey have paid straight away and when I asked their buyer, they sad one for her brother & one for her sonshould I be worried ðŸ¤”

Apple items do attract scammers. They " come out of the woodwork " for them. Never sell an item you can't afford to lose.

Typically in the US, many scams on cell phone purchases arrive in your lap AFTER THE FACT, with phony claims of "item not as described" and phony proof of return issues. The buyers DO have the front money to play, with the intention of eventually getting the product for free. Very often as well they are perpetrated by buyers that are out of the US, and have items shipped to a US freight forwarder address. Other than the shipping location address vs the country of origin of the buyer there is no other way to PREDICT if the sale will be fine, or not. We are no longer allowed to know if the buyer bought 16 IPhones in last two months, and got feedback for ONE from some seller that left feedback when paid.

I have bought 2 identical phones at the same, for my husband and myself in the past. You have a good amount of feedback, while scammers often look for new sellers. I hope you looked at the buyers feedback and googled their location before you shipped. Other than that, you have to fill their order.

Don't worry without reason.

I don't sell electronics here, but the way I look at it is this--any buyers can be dodgy or scammers. The only thing I can control is how much money I can lose in that situation. I have a few pricey items for sale, but they are books (not a high scam category) and I didn't pay very much for them.

@summermeadows70 if you do go through with sending them I would send with ADULT signature required just to cover my self in the event of a credit card charge back. IDK if it would help but it surely won't hurt. Just maje sure you tell the "buyer" that is how you are sending them

I get a cold sweat when I sell any phone over Â£100.

Here you have a pair of iPhone 12 mini's for Â£440. Best you can do, apart from selling somewhere else, is take every precaution with the shipping and keep your fingers crossed.

I would never ever as in NEVER sell phones, high dollar shoes or high end jewelry on ANY online venue, especially e Bay.

You should be prepared to lose your entire investment in the two phones.

This principle applies to anything that is sold on eBay by any seller.

Personally, I am not brave enough to sell electronics.

Cell phones are one of the favorite targets of scammers and while your buyer may be legitimate it is a high seller risk item. If you go through with the sale make sure you retain the IMEI numbers for the phones in case this is a scam so you can report them to the IMEI blacklist as stolen. This basically renders the phone useless to the scammer.

How old is your buyers account and where are they located. You are in the UK and I cannot see your listings so I have no idea how much you sold the phones for or what type they are but based on some of the cell phone scammer postings on this forum it does not seem to matter all that much. Personally I would never list a cell phone on eBay or any other high value electronic device.

You biggest risk is a NAD chargeback by the buyer that almost always results in the buyer being fully refunded without having to return the item.

the phones went for around Â£230 & Â£190

itâ€™s says theyâ€™ve been on eBay since 2015 & have 85 all positive reviews & never sold anything

the reason it makes me suspicious is that they bought both my phones

i dont feel comfortable with that ðŸ¤”

Although the 12 mini phones aren't as popular among real customers as the larger ones, they aren't unpopular enough to deter scammers.

And in this case, in looking at the anonymized bidding history of the buyer, I'm suspicious enough that if these were my items, I'd cancel.

I can't tell if they won all those (7) phones and if they just want to and are losing to other snipers, it may not be a problem. But they've been sniping other phones in addition to yours.
