Can someone help explain this? Fees over 20%+
Im new to selling and it seems im getting like 73% of my prices after fees. All orders have buyer paying shipping. None of these orders have arrived yet becuase injust started 2 days ago. I have packaged all the orders just have not dropped the off yet. But it shows my 90 day total to be 1531 and my total funds only 1096. That's almost 500 difference. Can someone explain?

·1 year agosee that little arrow icon next to 1096.70...maybe click on it and see the details of what constitutes that amount. There are a multitude of detailed breakdowns as to where the funds are allocated.
...and ...for your own good...get those orders acceptance scanned at the Post Office and shipped out.

·1 year agoBefore you began selling here, did you make it a priority to read all the information about final value fees charged to sellers?
Basically, the FVF is calculated on the price the item sold for, the shipping fee and the state sales tax, if applicable. In most categories the FVF is a little over 13%.
The buyer pays the seller the shipping fee as well as the state sales tax. The shipping fee is used by the seller to buy the label to ship the item. The state sales tax is deducted by eBay and is forwarded to the state treasury of the buyer's delivery address.
Information about fees and how much you will net from a sale is available on your payout screen.

Understand that the shipping cost is not a fee.......but that, since you get it from the buyer, it inflates the payment to you......beyond the original asking price.
ie........sell an item for $20, plus get shipping of 10.......you get $30.......but have to pay out $10 for the shipping.....

Where do you purchase your shipping labels from? If you do that in Ebay, then the cost of your shipping would be deducted from your funds in your Managed Payment account.
Ebay also deducts your FVFs from your funds as well.
Other than that nothing should be deducted from your funds unless you refunded a buyer for something.
it is very easy to see the details of what comes in and out of your Managed Payment account in the
Payment Summary screen. On the right side you can see each amount that came in and went out.

·1 year agoIf you've purchased shipping labels, the charges for the labels comes out of the payments you've received.
You have a 3-day handling time so make sure you get your items shipped by the "ship by" date shown on the orders.

·1 year agoDid you use any promotions? (promoting your item advertising) Those are extra and can take additional % out from your total.
And if I were you, I would get those shipped out right away. You can buy the labels right on eBay and save in most cases, or get them from a shipping store, but make sure you get them done quickly. eBay doesn't like sellers that drag their feet on shipping. Since I see a big red 4, that means you hadn't bought the labels or updated eBay with tracking numbers yet.
I have 1 day shipping, and I usually ship same day. Packaged, labeled and out the door to the shipper same day. Or next day if its later in the day when the order comes in.
