Just think, one day in the not too far future it could be a humanoid robot focused on social intelligence, customization and realistic human features for companionship and intimacy. Please do not focus too much on that last word... So then, right as things were getting heated "My battery is low" Which is basically "not right now honey, I am not in the mood" Not even with a fast charger, it would still be at least 1/2 hour?
I really ran with that one, huh?
So, can a seller sell a cat that licks it owner? Yes, of course they can. Whether it is allowed, it would appear there isn't a specific policy in these regards, yet.
My real German Shepherds lick people, I find them unsanitary but I love them anyway.
A robotic cat that licks people still wouldn't have saliva. I don't think that is unsanitary but I have never been a fan of buying used items (excluding video games).
I would think it's unsanitary especially if it's not in the original sealed box. Ugh!
Same as buying a used shirt where another persons armpit has sweated in, a used pair of pants that another person has farted while wearing, a used coffee cup that another person may have sneezed in while taking a sip of coffee, it all depends on how well that item was cleaned AND sanitized by that Seller before they listed it, sold it. THEN how well that Buyer cleaned AND sanitized the item before they use it, wear it, so on.
What I wonder is, who's looking for Robotic Cats that "Lick" in the first place? Or is this something you just happen to run across? Care to fill us in. 😅
I made my own culinary disinfecting alcohol from everclear and distilled water (down to 70%). One of the things I collect are vintage/antique blades and cutlery.
Upon arrival all get wiped down as soon as I unpack, even if I don't intend to use them. I've cut myself more than once sharpening an old blade and don't need an infection. Never serious cuts but cuts nonetheless.
On old cutlery I use I wash with soap & water but still wipe them before putting them back in the canteen.
My uncle taught me about culinary alcohol to clean hunting/fishing knives and my hands in the field after use years ago in my youth................
I just got a new knife the other day and as usual whenever I get a new (sharp) knife I cut myself. This time I was opening a bag of pine shavings and hit my left wrist. Being overdramatic of course I thought I was dead.
Anyways, when I put a 3X3 on the cut I stuck my thumb on the sterile dressing and thought, hmmm, I hope I don't get an infection since I just cleaned out 10 laying boxes, (guardian angel shaking his head.)
Most knives I just keep a "utility" edge on. Some such as daggers or rapiers only the last few terminal inches are sharpened.
A couple of my nicer custom fixed blades I do the whole shebang as in progressive finer stones ending with fine wet or dry sandpaper on glass then stropping to get that razor sharp edge.
I have to be very mindful when using those. I cut a thin slice of skin off the top of one knuckle once and didn't even feel it. I saw it on the side of the knife blade, almost completely transparent so thin. The wound didn't even bleed, just turned red..........................
She's actually a mutt but with Persian somewhere in her blood lines and it really showed! In the winter her fur got so long that all one would see was her feet. Curiously, she is the sister from the same litter as the tuxedo cat sitting below her.
The perfect, precise tabby - that's a darned cute cat!
@estate_echoes Someone once asked me what that 'mammal' was - I realised that Jamie the furry cat often looked uncatlike mostly because she was just a pile of fur. Fortunately, she loved being combed - during the man-cat bonding when the DH would vigorously comb her in the evening, she'd go into full lick mode and lick everything. I once even caught her licking one of my power packs.
Thank you chapeau-noir I like yours too. I have always thought her peculiar looking, though, like those cats you occasionally see in old Italian paintings where everything is painted perfectly but then you see this odd looking creature, supposedly a cat, sitting under the table. What, you can paint the Mona Lisa but not a cat? Anyways, she's a good one. Stands right up to dogs.
Street cats born between the trash cans, whey walked in the back door as kittens. The one laying down is Rosie2.0 aka 'fuzzy butt cuddle bunny' and her sister is 'mumbles' as she does.
Why she's the cuddly bunny
as to the topic of this post ... until you check, it could be either - like the cat in the box owned by the piano player.

Battery charged with a refillable saliva tank? Does it come in "dog" too?
This poses so many questions.................please be more specific.

·11 months agoI should think the better choice would be to get a real cat and develop a pavlovian relationship. Lick my hand and I will give you food.

Came here to say all this, but I'm glad I saw your comment first.
I wash my hands before handling my eBay inventory.
But do all sellers do that? I'm pretty sure they don't.
So you have that layer of "Ugh!" as well.

Oh wow -- I've read cats from the same litter can have different fathers.
(And same with humans, though much more rare.)

That's what's called the Cat Distribution System."
They just show up and announce, "I'm living here now.. Get used to it."

Also, many items now come in open style packages so you can try before you buy. Retailers call it " romance packaging ".

·11 months agoSo you found such a thing listed on eBay.
Not sure if it would be unsanitary, assuming it licks ONLY its owner and not some random stranger.
It's pretty close to the top of the heap in terms of ridiculousness, however.
