Can I sell my complete ebay store
I've been a seller on ebay for 20 yrs and would like to sale my complete store with inventory. Is it allowed and could the buyer keep my ebay name? I have close to 1,500 listing and 35,000 feedbacks. If so, it would be so much easier for someone to just keep all the original listings and start selling right away...Carol (junklady1)

·3 years agoTo tell yoi the truth you probably can figure out a way not to give a new owner to much personal information by editing your address to a po box and the name part is tough but any buyer would have your name anyways so it really isn't that big a deal especially if it's someone you know or trust and sell it to someone anyway how in the **bleep** will ebay know nit that it matters everyone's store will be worthless here in a few years anyways if they don't stop running ebay dick in the dirt

·3 years agoYep ebay probably is the onky company that makes you waste 20 yrs creating and building a customer basis to when you want to retire all that hard work was for **bleep**. Complete waste can't even hand it over to a family member. It's the dumbest **bleep** ive ever heard and Lynn you fail to value what it took for a store to get 35000 positive feedback you know the value of those reviews. So pennies you are sadly mistaken and very uneducated im afraid. So your reply is mute.

·3 years agoEbay has no consideration for the seller that's been making them money fir the last 20 yrs, by not letting them transfer the hard work someone did building their business and not allowing them to sell their inventory and transfer the store ownership to a new person that wants to maintain amd keep the listings active. Makes no **bleep** sense ebay that's why I predict in 3 maybe 5 yrs max. People are going to say Ebay who just like people do when you mention MySpace. Ebay is losing more money day by day their CEO is a complete morons

·3 years agoI think it's stupid ebay doesn't allow you to sell your business. What's better ebay someone selling their ebay business or someone that doesn't want to do it any more removing 2000 listings that's worth 500k I don't see the issue with selling your store and inventory to someone wanting to take over your business the seller built it maintained it built it up when they no longer can do it for whatever reason it shouldn't be a complete waste. Ebay get your **bleep** together or you guys are going to go belly up I give it 3 yrs max. People are getting sick and tired of everything to do with ebay. Your CEO is running the **bleep** it in the ground how much have you lost this year. And you will continue to plummet let people sell their business and hard work so they don't go down with the ship with you.

(I'm assuming, they would Not be stating their inventory has insufficient profit potential)
I'd be wondering. Why?
Why would anyone wish to liquidate something so profitable?

They decide to retire.
They or someone in family are having medical issues making it hard for them to continue.
They just decide they want to try a new gig doing something else.
Ebay changes are making them rethink things out.
Just getting burnt out doing this.
They have made enough and just want to pass the opportunity on to someone else.
Life is to short to stay at one job.
I know quite a few people that have owned very profitable business's and sold them on short notices just to get out of the rat race game and just to enjoy the rest of their lives playing, traveling and relaxing.
Look at me i have owned several profitable business's over my lifetime starting with a laundromat when i was only 17 still in high school. I keep buying different business's, improve them and after a few years i decide to do something else and sell it at a profit and move on to the next chapter in my life. Then i took an early retirement. party and traveled at a young age and decided it was time to go back to work now that i am older but didn't want to have the extra burden in owning a business and did a stint at a couple of stores but i am learning why i was in business myself and getting the bug back to go full time on my own again and telling the store to TAKE THIS JOB AND SHOVE IT!
ok, back on topic lots of reason to sell a profitable business and sometimes it is wise to sell it when it is running strong and get a good dollar then after it starts to fail and you get less or worse nothing for it.
